	The Astronaut Dave Brown Memorial Meet
	Welcome to the 2007 Astronaut Dave Brown Memorial Meet. The date for this meet will remain the same Saturday in December—this year that date is December 15th. This meet continues to be a boys and girls combined meet and will be held in the main arena of William and Mary Hall. Before tragically dying in the Columbia Shuttle disaster, Dave Brown was a gymnast at William and Mary. The proceeds from this meet will go to the Dave Brown Memorial Endowment, which has been established to ensure that there will always be an opportunity for true scholar-athletes to utilize the medium of gymnastics for personal growth with emphasis on excellence and learning how to be a good teammate for a lifetime. The endowment will be used to defer the expenses required to conduct a competitive intercollegiate gymnastics program at Dave Brown’s alma mater, the College of William and Mary. Our hopes are to build this endowment to a point where Virginia gymnasts will be able to receive scholarship money to pursue gymnastics at William and Mary. We look forward to seeing everyone here and we want to thank-you for helping us make this dream a reality.
